Police Cancel Emergency Accident Reporting Plan

Heavy snowfall in Salina over the weekend prompted the activation of the Emergency Accident Reporting Plan by Salina Police from 2pm on Saturday until 9:30am Monday morning.

According to Police Captain Mike Sweeney, snowy and slick conditions played a role in 21 accidents around the city during the forty-three and a half hour period.

Salina Police responded to seven of those accidents to work the scene.

The other accidents were described as minor with no injuries.
