Motorcyclist Gets Away

KSAL Staff - October 6, 2015 10:44 am

Salina police are looking for a motorcyclist with a white helmet as the individual fled from police pursuing.

The suspect was on a white motorcycle when he passed a stationary radar detector on the 2000 block of Centennial Road that alerted the officer that the driver was speeding.

After putting on his lights and beginning to follow the motorcyclist, the driver took off at speeds that police say reached 80-110mph. Police chased him to the intersection of Revere and Wayne when they lost him.

No tag was seen on the vehicle, but police say that the motorcylcist’s helmet and bike were both white.

Why would the Salina Police chase someone over a speeding ticket at 110mph? Possibly if it was a murderer or bank robber I could see it even so them doing it endangers the taxpayers of Saline County. Maybe the chief of police needs to come out of hiding and discuss this problem.
