A mother contacts authorities after not hearing from her adult son for several days.

Police Captain Chirs Trocheck tells KSAL News that investigators are following up on the report of a missing person filed by a family member on Monday afternoon.

Police say 26-year-old Joseph B. Hoffman has not been seen or been in touch with his family since Friday, September 2, 2016.

Hoffman’s mother told police he was last seen on Friday at 4:30pm, walking westbound on Pueblo.

He is 6-feet tall and weighs 228 pounds. He has short, dark hair with a dark chin-strap beard, and was wearing a tank top and shorts.

Anyone with information on the location of Joseph Hoffman should contact Salina Police at 785-826-7210.

“We’ve filed an incident report and we’re following up on it,” Captain Trocheck said.
