Marshall Named Abilene Police Chief

A former Salina Deputy Police Chief will be the new top cop in Abilene. The City of Abilene announced in a media release Thursday that that Mike Marshall will serve as Police Chief of the Abilene Police Department.

Marshall has over thirty years of experience in law enforcement with the Salina Police Department. His career included serving as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Dispatcher, Lieutenant, Commander of Drug Task Force, Captain of Patrol, and Deputy Chief of Administration. Mr. Marshall served in the capacity of the Deputy Chief of Administration for a little over twelve years.

Marshall will assume the duties of the position on May 17th.
