Man Arrested in Forgery Case

A Salina man has been arrested for allegedly forging multiple checks to himself for cash.

Police allege that 22-year-old Trevon Tucker forged eight checks that belong to Joshua Perez of Salina. Tucker allegedly made the checks out to himself, and cashed them.

Police say that between October 20th and November 6th seven of the forged checks were cashed at Money Zone at 1819 S. Broadway. An eighth was cashed at Rose Hill Bank.

Tucker was arrested on Monday at Money Zone while allegedly unsuccessfully trying to cash another one of the forged checks.

Total loss is $3,300.

Tucker could face numerous charges that include multiple counts of forgery and theft.
