A description of a car burglar from eyewitnesses helps police identify and arrest a Manhattan man in Salina.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that 33-year-old Deveral Wilson was taken into custody on Sunday evening around 7pm after customers at the Food Mart, 220 W. Crawford observed Wilson reaching into a BMW and removing about $1.80 in coins and religious rosary beads.

Officers arrested him a short time later near the intersection of Santa Fe and Prescott.

Police say Wilson broke the cross off the $10 rosary as well.
