Kansas Man Arrested in Builders Association Theft

Authorities have arrested a Wamego man in connection with the theft of about $25,000 from the Flint Hills Area Builders Association.

The Manhattan Mercury reports that the theft was reported Tuesday. A suspect in the case was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of theft and making false information.

A search warrant was served at the suspect’s home. The case remains under investigation.

Riley County Public Information Officer Matthew Droge says he couldn’t comment on when the theft is alleged to have taken place.
