A Salina teen is facing charges of sexually assaulting two pre-teenage girls.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, family members contacted the Salina Police Department on Monday evening after an alleged incident occurred  in a central Salina home between 9pm and 11pm.

Police say 16-year-old Bobby Vega Jr. was arrested on charges of rape and aggravated indecent liberties for molesting the two girls.

Police indicated the victims and Vega Jr. are acquaintances.

He is currently being held in the Juvenile Detention Center in Junction City.
