Former Salinan Killed in Unusual Motorcycle Crash

Family and friends are mourning the death of former Salina man who was killed in an unusual Easter weekend motorcycle crash.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol,  the crash happened when 37-year-old Casey Bezdek was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle Sunday afternoon in the Kansas City area.

Bezdek was headed west on Interstate 70.  For an unknown reason the motorcycle’s rear tire started to drift.  Bezdek lost control and struck a concrete bridge rail. From the impact, he was ejected over the bridge rail and fell approximately 90ft.

Bezdek, who was wearing a helmet and eye protection, was killed in the fall.

Bezdek was a 1998 graduate of Salina South High School.]
