A fire damages a soutern Kansas refinery. Flames were shooting out of the roof of the Mag-Plant in Harper County on Tuesday after the fire started in a cooling tower.

Emergency Manager Thomas Winter says the area was cleared in about a mile radius until the flames were put out. No injuries were reported.

It’s unclear what started the fire.

The plant is expected to re-open in a couple of days.
