Family and friends are rallying to help a Salina man who was badly injured in a motorcycle crash to begin the Memorial Day weekend.

Friday afternoon Quentin Werber and a friend were riding together, headed north on North 9th Street. Werber crashed as a semi pulled in front of him.

Werber locked his breaks up and went into a long skid. The motorcycle went down onto its side, and slid underneath the trailer. Werber slid away from the motorcycle, and ended up partially underneath the trailer, between two sets of wheels.

Werber was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center. He was transferred to a Wichita hospital with injures to his femur, hip , and pelvis.

The entire Werber family is asking for prayers and a steady recovery, and say that Quentin will have a long recovery and accumulate multiple hospital bills.
