Facebook Leads Police to Thief

A Salina man was jailed after a trove of stolen construction tools were found in his backyard.

Police arrested 22-year-old Jordan Glassburn-Hoesli on Friday after the Saline County Sheriff’s Office and SPD teamed up on an investigation centered on a residential burglary east of Salina.

According to Captain Jim Hughes with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, investigators were able to connect Glassburn-Hoesli to a stolen Honda mini-bike he was attempting to sell through Facebook.

A search of his home at 648 S. 9th Street led to the discovery of numerous items that he allegedly stole from a detached garage in the 3000 block of E. Country Club Road last week.

Investigators found a hammer drill and drill bits, a chain saw plus construction grade power tools and hand tools at his property.

Glassburn-Hoesli is now facing charges that include burglary, and felony theft.
