Couple Hurt in Crash During Storm

A couple from Pratt where hurt Friday evening when their truck hydroplaned and rolled on Interstate 70 east of Salina.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 65-year-old Steve Parsons was driving a 2004 Ford F 150 pickup truck, headed east on I 70. The truckĀ  hydroplaned during a rain storm and left the south side of the road. It rolled twice and came to rest on its top in a bean field.

Parson and a passenger, 64-year-old Susan Parsons, were hurt. They were transported by EMS to the hospital in Salina. Both were buckled up.

The crash happened at 5:00 Friday evening, 3 miles west of Solomon in Saline County on I 70.
