The holiday season begins in downtown Salina Saturday as the 25th Annual Christmas Festival & Parade of Lights illuminates Santa Fe.

“We always start the morning off with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Frosty 5K Fun Runs,” said Penny Bettles, Managing Director of Salina Downtown Inc.

A full day of activities has been planned for patrons to browse and take part in that include model trains running in the Watson Room at the Stiefel Theatre from 9am to 5pm.

Cookie events are planned at the Flower Nook and Martinelli’s – plus carriage rides around downtown.

A live Nativity scene will grace the corner of Santa Fe and Ash from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

Pre-parade performances at 5:15pm will usher in the Parade of Lights at 6pm.
