Busy Weekend Anticipated in Salina

So you thinks there’s nothing to do in Salina? Well, think again. The first weekend of summer is shaping up to be a busy one, with many hotels at capacity.

The Salina Area Chamber of Commerce says that multiple events are scheduled, and are expected to bring an unusually large number of visitors. These visitors will experience Salina’s hotels, restaurants, attractions and retail stores.

Scheduled events for June 25-26:

• KS ASA 8U-16U Fast Pitch Softball VIP Series. The tournament has been filled and is capped at 80 teams (Bill Burke Park & ECRA)
• High School Soccer Tournament, est. 20 teams (Soccer Complex & Salina Stadium)
• SAYSI 13/14U Baseball Tournament est. 16 teams (ECRA)
• Jonah Martin Memorial Softball Tournament, est. 16 teams (St. Mary’s fields)
• Salina Military Affairs Council – Wounded Warriors Poker Run
• Palomino Horse Show (Salina Expo Center)
• xWe Wrestling: The Great American Brawl (Bicentennial Center)
• Midwest Fitness Expo (Bicentennial Center)
• “Singin’ in the Rain” (Salina Community Theatre)
