Bullet Fired at Second Business on Santa Fe

Gunfire hits another Salina business on North Santa Fe Avenue.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that police are investigating after someone fired a bullet through a front window at Drains Plus located at 701 N. Santa Fe sometime between 4:30pm on July 2nd and 11:30am on July 3rd.

The shop was unoccupied but a bullet did hit a wooden chair and a plastic planter inside.

Damage is estimated at $640.

Police are also investigating shots fired on the same block during the same time frame at Tony’s Services located at 736 N. Santa Fe.

Police say glass on the front door was shattered by bullets and the shots hit a microwave oven and refrigerator inside the building. Damage is estimated at $650.

There were no injuries in either incident.
