Bicentennial Center Welcomes Public Tuesday

The Salina Bicentennial Center is celebrating after a year of renovations with an open house for the public.

Marketing Director for the Bicenter Kevin Boryczki tells KSAL News that after a $13 million dollar makeover project that included major work on the roof, a kitchen remodel and upgrades throughout the facility, they will open their doors on Tuesday to celebrate.

“We’ll be giving tours around the building and bring everyone to the concession stands to try some of the food that we will be serving,” he said.

Boryczki added the parking lot and restrooms also received attention, “We gutted all the bathrooms on the concourse – redid them from floor to ceiling and they look great.”

The open house is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Boryczki says the evening will conclude with the lighting of the art piece near the entrance of the facility at dusk.
