Arrests Made in Salvage Yard Burglary

KSAL Staff - October 7, 2013 12:32 pm

Multiple construction tools are stolen from an outbuilding.

Deputies arrest three male suspects outside a salvage yard over the weekend.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that a deputy was working in the area of Heath Auto Salvage, 2600 W. Old 40 Highway around 2:40am Saturday morning on an unrelated case, when he noticed a vehicle that looked out of place.

Further investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Austin Werner, Keaton Becker, 18, and Jonathan Wagner, 18 all of the Salina area.

The Sheriff’s Office alleges the three were looking for car parts and were also trespassing on railroad property.

What the sheriff meant to say was while the deputy was setting up a speed trap he bumped into these guys.

LOL I bet you hit the nail on the head. These deputies only sit around eating donuts and using their radar guns.
