Two people are hurt when a car goes airborne and crashes.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 90-year-old Earl Hanna was driving a Toyota Prius, headed east on K 61 Highway. As he approached the intersection with Interstate 135, he drove off the road. The car went airborne, struck the ground, then struck KDOT fencing.

Hanna was hurt, as was a passenger, 79-year-old Rhonda Hanna. Both were transported to the hospital in McPherson.

Troopers say that both of the Hannas, who are from Littleton, Colorado, were buckled up.
