4 Clerks Cited for Selling Alcohol to Minors

Four Saline County stores are cited for selling alcohol to a minor in a sting by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office conducted a controlled alcohol buy on Saturday, January 25th.
According to Sheriff Glen Kochanowski, 14 attempts to buy alcohol were made in various area convenience stores, liquor stores and shopping centers.

Two 18-years old males who were working with  Alcoholic Beverage Control and Tobacco Enforcement departments – entered the stores and attempted to buy alcohol.

According to Sheriff Kochanowski the two businesses where clerks sold beer to minors were: Tucsons Steak House, 2750 S. 9th and Knuckleheads Tavern, 311 E. Pacific.

Two other establishments sold whiskey to both males: East Crawford Wine and Spirits , 2109 E. Crawford and T & R Liquor, 153 S. Broadway.

Sheriff Kochanowski says the clerks were issued citations in each case.
