Foot Chase Leads to Arrest

Salina police arrested two Salina men this morning for crimes ranging from possession of drug paraphernalia to theft and burglary.

Joshua Angley, 34, and Steven Bishop, 26, were spotted by Salina PD on the 800 block of North 8th Street around 2AM with a brown purse on the ground near them. Suspicious, the officer began to approach the two, causing Angley to take off running.

Angley was quickly apprehended, and during a search, the officer found meth and pepper spray in the man’s front pocket. On further investigation, the officer discovered the owner of the purse, and then found out the two broke out the driver’s side window to get the purse, resulting in $100 damage to the vehicle.

Angley is being charged with possession of and drug paraphernalia, theft, burglary and damage to property. Bishop is being charged with theft, burglary, possession of Lortab and not having a drug tax stamp.
