1 dead in Wichita fire

A 41-year-old man has died in a fire at a duplex in Wichita.

The Wichita Eagle reports fire crews arrived at the scene early Saturday to find flames coming out of a front window of the duplex.

Wichita fire investigator Mark Reibenspies says a neighbor told fire crews that a person was inside. After crews brought the man outside, he was taken to a hospital with burns and smoke inhalation. The man died later at the hospital.

Authorities haven’t identified the victim, other than to say he was 41.

No other injuries were reported.
