The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin a project to install electric vehicle charging stations at Rolling Hills Zoo beginning Monday.

According to KDOT, during construction, charging stations will be installed in the parking lot of the zoo with minimal impacts to traffic.

KDOT awarded the construction contract of $99,887.76 to Osborne Construction Inc., of Topeka.

Work is scheduled to be completed by July, conditions permitting.
