The Sedgwick County Zoo is losing its leader.

Dr. Jeff Ettling is stepping down as the zoo’s executive director to become the new president and CEO of the Jacksonville, Florida, zoo.

Ettling has served as president and CEO of the Sedgwick County Zoo since 2017, and he is credited with overseeing work on a 25-year master plan for the zoo.
