A Wichita State University student is dead after drowning in Oregon.

Authorities say 21-year-old Kenny Truong downed on Friday after jumping into the Blue Pool at Willamette National Forest.

Investigators say Truong struggled to swim to shore after jumping into the water, and he disappeared under the surface.
