A woman is killed in an officer-involved shooting in Harper County.

Deputies responded to the report of a vehicle stopped in the roadway on U.S. Highway 160 west of Attica yesterday morning and found 54-year-old Cheryl Gaines of Oklahoma City armed with a knife and scissors.

Gaines exited the vehicle and was shot and killed after allegedly charging at deputies with the weapons.

The incident is under investigation.
