A small earthquake shook Northwest Kansas Wednesday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake happened at 6:43 AM. It was centered in Rooks County, 6.6 miles NNE of Damar. The earthquake measured 2.5 in magnitude.
Earthquakes of this magnitude, ranging between 2.5 and 5.4, are often felt but only cause minor damage.
