Salina authorities are investigating a theft that took place at a Salina park, resulting in over $2,000 worth of items stolen.
Police Captain Jim Feldman tells KSAL News City of Salina employees reported that sometime between 9:00 am – 1:30 pm on Tuesday a theft occurred.
Allegedly, an unknown suspect removed two chainsaws from the back of a work truck at Oakdale Park on 730 Oakdale Dr. The employees said male driving a blue SUV was driving around the park multiple times before the crime happened.
Missing are two Stihl chainsaws, with 25 inch bars on both. Total loss was valued at $2,439.
The investigation is ongoing.
