William “Bill” Bernard Weaver

William “Bill” Bernard Weaver, 90, passed away on July 28, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society in Wamego, KS.

Bill was born on May 21, 1933 in Ellis, KS to parents Edward and Francis Brown Weaver.

He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War.

With only an 8th grade education, he owned and operated 2 successful businesses, Putt Putt Golf and Satisfied Flooring, both of Salina.

He was a life member of the VFW Post 1432 and American Legion Post 62 both of Salina.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Helen (Befort) Weaver on Sept. 8, 2007 after 53 years of marriage; Brother: Raymond Weaver; 2 Grandchildren: Rebekah in 1997 and Daniel in 2005.

Bill is survived by: 2 Daughters: JoNell Beaton and spouse Tom of Topeka, KS, Lisa Russell and spouse Jon of Courtland, KS, 4 Sons: Jeff Weaver and spouse Karla of Wichita, KS, Marty Weaver and spouse Renda of Salina, KS, Russ Weaver and spouse Gina of Salina, KS, Andrew Weaver and spouse Megan of Fruita, CO; 22 Grandchildren: Catherine Scheck, Christopher Beaton, Philip Beaton, Zachary Weaver, Alexia Weaver, Samuel Weaver, Benjamin Beaton, Matthew Weaver, Douglas Beaton, Addison Weaver, Joseph Weaver, Elizabeth Lundgrin, Patrick Weaver, Kathryn Weaver, Mary Weaver, Dylan Weaver, Jordan Russell, Jacob Weaver, Jaxon Russell, Ashleigh Russell, Lucas Weaver and Joshua Weaver; 23 Great – Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Jim Weaver; 7 Sisters: Dorothy Guthrie, Cecilia Schoonover, Susanna Neal, MaryAnn Russell, Katherine Hathaway and Shirley Boyd.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023 from 5-7 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM both in the Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel; 1920 E. Crawford, Salina. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church; 230 E. Cloud, Salina. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina. Memorial Funds have been established with the Good Samaritan Society, Valley Vista, 2011 Grandview Dr., Wamego, KS 66547 or the Elara Caring Hospice, 901 NE River Road, Topeka, KS 66616.
