Warren “Wes” Eugene Spratlen, 79, passed away on September 12, 2023 in Salina, KS.

Wes was born on November 14, 1943 in Marysville, CA to parents James Harold Spratlen and Geneva Jane (LaCoe) Sands.

Wes was a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve.

Wes worked as a roofer and a builder and studied Diesel Technology at Salina Area Technical College.

Wes loved fishing, hunting, camping, and playing cards. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved to watch them play sports and participate in school plays. Wes could strike up a conversation about anything with anyone and always had a story to tell.

Wes is survived by; Children Khrysty Burkhardt – Deister and spouse Shane of Gypsum, KS, Tamara Berry and spouse Darren of Salina, KS, Nicole Burkhardt of Wichita, KS; Patricia Lancaster (Sister) of Madisonville, TX, Evelyn Lambrecht (Friend) , Cierha Berry (Granddaughter) of Kansas City, KS, Dakkota Deister (Grandson) of Salina, KS, Kannyon Deister (Grandson) of Gypsum, KS, Isla Deister (Great-Granddaughter) of Salina, KS, Aspen Deister (Great-Granddaughter) of Salina, KS, Luka Deister (Great-Grandson) of Salina, KS.

Graveside services will be held in the Roselawn Memorial Park on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Inurnment of the cremains will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Salina, KS.
