Virginia Dennison Garrelts, age 101, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024.  She was born in Salina Dec. 8, 1922, the daughter of Orval and Alma (Zeh) Dennison, and was a lifelong resident.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Kelly (Robert), Salina, Nancy Garrelts, Johns Creek, Ga.; four grandchildren, Christopher Ruegsegger (Sandra), Carissa Liebowitz (Adam), Tasha Campbell (Timothy), and Forrest Teske; two great grandchildren, Rhett and Charlotte Campbell. She also had numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, in 2003; a daughter, Kathy Teske in 1997; her parents; a sister, Joan Dennison Smith; 4 brothers, Philip, Robert, Richard, and William.

She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. A  graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2024 at Roselawn.  Memorials may be made to the church.  Ryan Mortuary is handling arrangements.
