Violet Marie Stull (Friebus)

Violet Marie Stull (Friebus), 98, of Salina, went to be with her Lord on February 19, 2020. She was born October 14, 1921 in Dorrance, Ks.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lydia (Wollert) Friebus; husband Glen H. Stull; sisters, Ella RumLey, Emma Smith, May Friebus, Elsie Sebesta; brothers, Mel Friebus, Ernest Fiebus

Survivors include her daughter, Loretta Barrentine; granddaughter, Christina Strickland; great grandsons, Robert Hamilton and Bryan Strickland; brother, Leo Friebus; many nieces and nephews.

Violet loved being outdoors, planting flowers and lawncare. She really enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting. Her favorite Hymn was “How Great Thou Art”.

Violet worked in the kitchen washing dishes and did preparatory work for cooks at Sahara Supper Club from 1953-1958, Wilson Livestock Café from 1963-1973, Beverly Sale Barn Café from 1965-1966 and Farmers and Rancher’s Café from 1966-2002 when she retired.

Visitation will be Monday, February 24, 2020 from 2-7 PM with family from 5-7 PM at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 2:30 PM at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
