Violet I. Gordon-Webb

Violet I. Gordon-Webb, 91, of Salina, Kansas passed away Wednesday, November 29th.

Violet was born on the family farm southwest of Gypsum on March 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Rebecca (Henne) and Adam Bickel.

She attended grade school in rural Gypsum and graduated from Salina High School in 1945. She worked as a receptionist at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Marymount College, and Sears Roebuck Catalog Sales. She ended her career working as a telephone operator at Marcia Dearing Answering Service. She married Neal O. Gordon on March 27, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1985. Violet later married Richard Webb on June 2nd, 1990.

Survivors include a daughter Christy and husband Larry Hunt of Elkhorn, Nebraska; son Greg (Geneann) Gordon of Salina, Kansas; and son Steve (Sylvia) Gordon of Orlando, Florida.

Other survivors include thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Lillie, Fern, Stanley, Merlin, Milton, and Irene.

A Memorial service will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 4, 2017 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 111 West Magnolia Road Salina, Kansas 67401.

Violets final resting place will be Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina, Kansas.
