Viola Barber

Viola Barber, 84, of Salina, formally of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022. She was born to Jim and Mamie Le (Gloss) Barber on April 27, 1937 in Fredrick, Oklahoma. Viola married Herman Heard Sr. She was a member of a Baptist church in Oklahoma City. Viola was Baptist and a saved woman.

She did the best she could with what she had. She greeted with love and a smile. It gladdens my heart to know she was saved and today she rests in the arms of the Lord. Viola love to be around her family and see the smile on her face when she saw her grandkids and great grandkids. Yes, she truly adored her grandchildren.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Leonard Ray Heard; brothers, Billy Joe Heartfield, Lonny B. Gibson, J.T. Barber, L.J. Barber, W.J. Barber, Eddie B. Barber, and Willie Heartfield; sisters, Emma Jean Heartfield, Pearlie May Ross, and Corren Duffy.

Survivors include sons, Bobby Joe Heartfield Sr., Herman Heard Jr., Felma Lee Thomas, Henry Jones, and Franklin Lee Jones; daughters, Mary Heartfield, and Josie Oneal; brother, Jerry Heartfield; sisters, Annie B. Barber, Ethel LaJean Barber, and Myrtle Depp; 13 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Ryan Mortuary.
