Susan L. Roets, 76, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, May 7th, 2026.

Sue was born in Luverne, Minnesota on December 18, 1949, to Elenora (Fritz) and Jake Boomgaarden.

Survivors include daughter, Pam Picking (Ken), of Salina, Kansas; two sons Rick Roets, Jr. (Jana), of Salina, Kansas; Dan Roets, of Salina, Kansas; three sisters, Judy Benson, of Salina, Kansas, Cheryl Walsh (Mike), of Salina, Kansas, Sharleen Christiensen (Todd), of Salina, Kansas; brother, Gary Benson (Ronelle), of Topeka, Kansas. She is also survived by six precious fur babies, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Roets, Sr. who passed in 1983; a sister; and a brother.

A Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 14th with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home in Salina.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, May 15th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salina, Kansas.

Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas.

The family requests donations be made to Tammy Walker Cancer Center, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
