Sheryl K. Suiter, daughter of Freda and Wayne Scott, lived a full and giving life rooted in family, hard work, and quiet service to others.

She is survived by her three sons: Sandy Suiter of Concordia, Kansas; Tyler Suiter of Manhattan, Kansas; and Preston Suiter of Randall, Kansas. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael Fulton of Celina, Texas; James Fulton of Deerfield, Kansas; and Jeff Scott of Pasco, Washington; and by her sister, Jana Strasser of Garden City, Kansas.

Sheryl lived and raised her family in Concordia for more than two decades. She and her family were active members of Concordia Wesleyan Church, where she faithfully volunteered to drive the church bus every Sunday and Wednesday, ensuring everyone who needed a ride could get to church.

She loved summertime. When she wasn’t gardening or riding motorcycles, you could find her tending to her cats or adding new fish to her aquarium. She was a proud member of the Kansas Christian Motorcyclists Association. In the winter she turned to quieter pursuits, woodworking or sewing Christmas tree ornaments for the people she loved.

Sheryl wore many hats throughout her working life. She spent long hours working Kansas fields and hauling semi-truck loads of milk destined for school lunchrooms. She worked for Concordia High School on and off for twenty-four years, where students knew her both as the lunch lady and the bus driver—often on the same day. After her years at CHS she became a machinist for Sunflower Manufacturing in Beloit, Kansas.

She raised three respectable and intelligent sons, two of whom went on to serve as Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans. Sheryl loved all of her grandchildren. Her favorite times with them were spent sharing her love of cooking and teaching them how to drive Grandma’s car.

Her favorite quote captured the spirit with which she lived:

“Consider this, no matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up.”

The Family will celebrate Sheryl’s life at the Concordia Wesleyan Church from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
