Sheila Rose Hickel

Sheila Rose Hickel, 68, of Salina, passed away at home Saturday, July 11, 2020, surrounded by the family that she loved.

Sheila was born in Akron, Ohio on January 19, 1952.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jerry Lee Hickel Sr., also by her 3 daughters, Chandra Rountree, LayLonnie Charles, Christina Wilkinson, and 1 son Jerry Lee Hickel Jr., 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Leland Rountree, and her father Lloyd (Dean) Shepard Sr., and 1 brother Ronald Rountree.

Sheila has lived in Salina, KS for 21 years. She served in the Armed Forces as a unit clerk and clerk typist. She graduated from Fort Hay’s State University in 2000.

Sheila is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was a woman that wore many hats. She loved to play bingo and having a cold glass of coke or sweet tea. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids. She was creative and fun. Always had a smile to share with everyone. She was loved by many, but most of all she loved her family.

Visitation will be 4-7 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Roselawn Mortuary, 1423 West Crawford, Salina.

Graveside services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM, July 17, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
