Roxanne (Sullivan) Russell

Roxane (Sullivan) Russell, 65, of Solomon passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Roxane was born in Salina on June 24, 1954. She was the first-born daughter of Joan Sullivan and the late Jim Sullivan of Niles.

She graduated from Solomon High School with the class of 1972. Her education was continued at Marymount College and Kansas Wesleyan University, where she received her nursing degree.

She spent her life serving people. First as the big sister to her five siblings. Then as a registered nurse. She was a big part of the heart team at Salina Regional Hospital from its inception. After retiring, she used her creative talents to make beautiful cross stitching, extensive writings, and a variety of artworks.
She always gave her support to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Roxane is survived by her children, William Russell-Pestinger (Adrianne), Emily Adams, Cody Russell (Kaitlyn); mother, Joan Sullivan; brothers, Russell Sullivan, Richard Sullivan, Ronald Sullivan; and sister, Renee Donaldson; grandchildren, Ian, Kloe, Carter, Bentley, Jarett, Malorie, and Cole.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Rock; and niece, Rachelle.

Cremation has been chosen.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 17th, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Solomon, Kansas.
