Robert Dale Troyer

Robert Dale Troyer, 82, of Lindsborg, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 26th, 2020.

 

Robert was born in Bel Aire, Kansas on February 19, 1938, a son of the late Beulah May (Carnegie) and Bezzie Othel Troyer.

 

He retired as a Truck Driver from John E. Jones Oil Co. in Stockton, Kansas. He had also worked at various other companies including Hamilton Transport, Neitzel Trucking & Corman Truck Line. He received trucker of the year from Overdrive Magazine in 1987.

 

He is a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Salina.

 

He is the husband of Barbara Ann (Sheats) Troyer and they were married on February 24, 1960 in Commerce City, Colorado.

 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Troyer; five daughters, Jerri, Wood (Lloyd), of (Salina, Kansas) Julie Ziegler, (Randy), of (Assaria, Kansas); Karen Boyd, (Rodney), of (Bakersfield, California); Barbie Antholz,of Atwood, Kansas, LaVona Huynh, (Joel Schullman), of (Scott City, Kansas); and son, Dallas Troyer, (Tracey), of (Scott City, Kansas). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; Tom Barnes, Leslie Kagle, Curtis Barnes, Brandon Troyer, Jason Troyer, Kacey Troyer, Kassandra Troyer, Amanda Hartman, Jeremy Ziegler, Kate Ziegler, Jade Zielger, Shara Ziegler, Desiree Boyd, Kelly Schroeder, Josh Garner, Zach Huynh, Melanie Niles, Alicia Messersmith; many great grandchildren; sisters, Illene Mayfield, (Don), of (Fort Morgan, Colorado); brothers, Jim Troyer, (Jeri), of (Smithville, Missouri); brother-in-law, Dan Gammel, of (Fort Morgan, Colorado); sister-in-law, Helen Troyer of, (Hugo, Colorado).

 

He was preceded in death by: 2 sons: Johnny Dale & Steve Troyer; sisters: Loera Massey, Midge Buxton, Beverly Gammel; and brothers: Lee Troyer, Raymond Troyer, Bill Troyer

 

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas.

 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery Salina, Kansas.
