Richard (Dick) Schneiders

Richard (Dick) Schneiders passed away on November 29, 2019.

Dick was born September 17, 1944, in Manhattan, KS to Fran and Vivian Schneiders. He graduated in 1962 from Lucky High School in Manhattan, KS, and in 1973 from KSU with degrees in accounting and computer science. From 1965 to 1969 he served in the USAF special services as a Chinese linguist. During his career as an accountant, he worked for Kennedy & Co, and Wilson & Co, both of Salina, KS.

Dick pursued many passions during his life. He was a member of the Salina Table Tennis Club, the Salina Wheelmen bicycling club, and had competed at nationals with a Salina tennis team and at K-State in straight pool competitions. He loved sports cars, chess, and playing finger-style jazz guitar and ukulele, but most of all he loved listening to music of all forms.

There will be no immediate service, but family is planning to have a Celebration of Life in the future. Please leave contact information with Ryan Mortuary at [email protected] if interested in attending.
