Rebecca S. “Becky” Brown went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 23, 2026. Becky was born on October 30, 1937, in Springfield, MO. She was the oldest of five children born to Ralphard (Ralph) and Edith Cornelison.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Jill) Brown of Lindsborg, KS, her brothers Ron (Loanna) Cornelison, Rogers, AR and Henry (Emily) Cornelison, Slidell, LA, her sister Sharon (Barry) Buckelew, Denver, CO and her loving and attentive stepdaughter, Candy Dedman and two grandchildren, Amelia and Isaac.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald “Bud” Brown, her second husband, George Chatain, a brother Ralph Cornelison and a son, Lincoln Brown.
Becky lived at the same address in Wichita, KS for over 60 years. She was an active member of Westview Baptist Church in Wichita, KS until declining health required a move to Bethany Home Skilled Nursing in Lindsborg, KS. She resided at Bethany Home for seven years.
Becky held several jobs in her adult life, but her favorite was her time as a marketing representative for Tony’s Pizza. She enjoyed working with grocery store managers in the Wichita area and promoting the company’s products.
Becky developed good friendships wherever she lived. She loved her neighbors and fellow church members as well as many of the staff and residents at Bethany Home.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.
