Patricia Jean Brown, 92, of Salina, died December 26, 2023.  Patricia was born March 17, 1931, in Salina to Carl and Clara (Brown) Calhoun.  She married Donald James Brown on August 9, 1947, with 64 years together before his death in 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Carroll and Carl, Jr.; husband Donald; son Norman Guy; and great-grandson Nathan Viland.

Pat worked at the Salina Fire Department as a dispatcher, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office as dispatcher-clerk and the Saline County District Court as Child Support Clerk, retiring in 1988.

She is survived by daughter Donelda (Herb) Summers of Salina; granddaughters Jennifer (Jason) Welker of Kearney, NE; Christina (Doug) Baney of Ozark, MO and Megan Brown of Salina; great-grandchildren Caitlin (Jacob) Garrelts of Lincoln, NE and Chandler Welker of Kearney, NE; daughter-in-law Mary C. Brown of Salina; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Brown of Wichita and Carolyn Calhoun of Sherwood, AR.

Funeral service will be held at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, on January 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
