Michelle “Shelly” Renae Hindman

Michelle “Shelly” Renae Hindman, 64, Salina, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. She was born October 9, 1956, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of the late Richard Fromdahl and the late Patricia Fromdahl. Shelly was a 46 year resident of Salina, KS and was united in marriage to the love of her life, her turtle dove, Gregory Hindman on October 23, 1976.

She was a devoted mother, best friend, and loyal wife. Shelly was truly a fighter throughout all her health battles during the last 27 years. She will be remembered for her love of her family, immediate and extended alike, her love of the sun and water, and being surrounded by laughter, games, and joy.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Patricia, her sister, Teresa Walker, her stepmother, Sylvia Fromdahl, and her in-laws, Robert and Carlene Hindman.

She is survived by her love, Gregory Hindman of the home; her daughter, Jill Hindman Barber, Salina; her son, Jeff Hindman, Salina; her son, Jared (Andrea Roberts) Hindman of Sand Springs, OK; her sister, Rhonda (Jeff) Smith; her brothers Randal (Amy) Fromdahl, Dana (Bonnie) Fromdahl, Ricky Bocksnick, and Randy (Cindy) Bocksnick; her grandsons Kade Barber, Kallon Barber, Jamison Hindman, and Jace Hindman all of Salina; Marian Saltzman a dear close friend; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Belmont Boulevard Church, 2508 Belmont Blvd, Salina, KS, with Tara Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 11:00am-1:00pm on Saturday prior to the service at the church. Burial is immediately following at Crown Point Cemetery in Culver, KS.
