Merlyn E. Adee

Merlyn E. Adee, age 72, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Ascension Via-Christi Manhattan, Kansas.

He was born on February 15, 1947 in Salina, Kansas to James (JB) and Edith (Gaines) Adee.

Merlyn graduated from Longford High School in 1965. He was the first class to graduate from the NCKAVTS Beloit, Kansas in the Diesel Mechanic Department.

He married Judy Lowry, and they later divorced.

Merlyn worked for Ottawa County Feed Yard, several farmers in the area and also was a heavy equipment operator for Ottawa County maintenance department.

He was a member of Mt. Liberty United Methodist Church, rural Miltonvale, Kansas.

He enjoyed time spent at the Miltonvale Senior Center, hunting, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Merlyn is survived by his 3 grandchildren, Kadyn Fuller (Alana), and their daughter, Brooklyn of Park, KS; Colton Fuller (Katie), Miltonvale, KS; Abbie Flora, Quinter, KS; sisters, Marilyn Benfer (David), Longford, KS and Jacque King, Las Vegas, NV; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a fiance’, Susan Birdsell; his parents, James and Edith Adee; his 2 daughters, Glenda Flora and Delana Lehman; and a grandson, Ethan Flora.

A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lamar, Kansas.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February, 8, 2020 at the Miltonvale Wesleyan Church, Miltonvale, Kansas with Pastors Mark Cunningham and Lillian Flegle officiating.

There will be no visitation.
