Mary Ruxlow

After 5 years of battling cancer with such a courageous and optimistic spirit, Mary Ruxlow, 53, of McPherson, Kansas passed away at 8:53 a.m., Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 while in the company of her husband, at her home.

 

Mary was born in Richfield, Minnesota on January 25, 1967, a daughter of Louise and John Paul.

 

Mary attended the Richfield grade schools and graduated from Richfield High School, Richfield, Minnesota. She then attended Central Christian College, McPherson, Kansas. While attending college she met the man of her dreams.

 

Mary Elizabeth Paul was united in marriage to Robert L. “Bob” Ruxlow on March 30, 1990 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Lincoln, Nebraska. This union was blessed with the birth of a son, Alex. In 2005 the family moved back to McPherson.

 

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church McPherson, Kansas.

 

Through the years Mary worked at the McPherson Senior Center as an attendant, McPherson College in the Cafeteria, and was currently working as a Specialist for Pfizer in McPherson, Kansas.

 

Mary enjoyed scary movies with her friends, family, playing cards, her beloved dog Quincy, and watching her son in his sporting events and other activities.

 

She is survived by her husband, Bob Ruxlow, of McPherson, Kansas and her son, Alex Ruxlow, of Lincoln, Nebraska, other relatives and a host of friends.

 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

 

At this time cremation has taken place and services will be at a later date when the family can celebrate her life with others.

 

Burial will be at a later date at McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
