Mary “Lola” Ginther

Mary “Lola” Ginther, 88, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 15th, 2023.

Lola was born in Rural Barnard, Kansas on November 23, 1934, a daughter of Mary (Nelson) and Sherman Jackson.

After high school, she graduated from Brown Mackie Business College.

Survivors include three daughters, Karla Manspeaker (Bob), of Hope, Brenda Penney (Jay Bailey), of Wichita, Denise Tweedy (Douglas), of Gypsum; son, Steve Penney (Kris), of Papillion, Nebraska; 4 grandchildren, Eric Tweedy (Eric Strimple), Ian Bailey, Jason Penney (Jessica), Lysandra Penney (James Eele); 7 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Kay Jackson, of Rural Barnard, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll Ginther; brothers, Sherman, Karr, and Lloyd Jackson; sister, Velma Ruth McClure; and grandson, BJ Manspeaker.

Cremation has been chosen and services are private.

She will be buried in the family plot at Milo Cemetery, Barnard, Kansas.

Donations may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
