Marilyn K. Howard

Marilyn K. Howard, age 64, passed away on Sat., Feb. 9, 2019 at her home in rural Jamestown, KS. She was born in Colby, KS on July 9, 1954 to Robert M. & L. Irene (Mall) Davis.

Marilyn graduated high school in Yuma, AZ and then attended business college in Phoenix, AZ and later Tucson, AZ. She married Rod Howard on Nov. 14, 1989 in Concordia, KS. Marilyn worked as the secretary for the Concordia Wesleyan Church for 17 years. Marilyn was a member of the Concordia Wesleyan Church & the NCK Saddle Club.

Marilyn loved her church family, riding her horses and spending time with her family.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Rod, of the home; son, Austin Howard (Christina), Concordia; daughters, Amy Howard, Salina & Leni Smith (Joshua), Beloit; sisters, Jean Hamel (John), Concordia & Nancy Dow (James), San Diego, CA; brother, Bob Davis, Clarkdale, AZ & grandchildren, Asher, Breckyn, Canaan & Dagan Smith, Beloit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Karen Barberio & a niece, Nicole Reinwald.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Tues., Feb. 12, 2019 at the Concordia Wesleyan Church, Concordia with Rev. David Redmond and Pastor Bob Burns officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date. Friends may sign the register book from 10 am to 8 pm with the family greeting from 6-7 pm, Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
