Maralyn Jean Eyler Williams

Maralyn Jean Eyler Williams of Salina passed away on January 23, 2026.  Maralyn was born October 23, 1933, in Salina, Kansas.  Maralyn’s parents were Dr. George Kurtz Eyler and Evelyn Marie (Schmitt) Eyler.

Maralyn graduated from Salina High School and Kansas University.  She obtained her Master’s Degree from Kansas State University.

Maralyn taught first grade for twenty-five years.  She was a member of Pi Lambda Theta, Alpha Delta Kappa (teacher’s sorority), Pi Beta Phi, and Chapter ED of P.E.O.  She was a proud member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder, Deacon and sang in the chancel choir.

Maralyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister Georgann Dreher, daughter Dana Leigh Powell, and granddaughter Erika Jones.  Survivors include daughters Laura Murphy (Em), Lynne Rose (Scott), son Dr. Kurt Williams (Shaun), twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 308 S Eighth Street, Salina, on February 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the music department of the First Presbyterian Church of Salina or the Salina Animal Shelter, in care of Heier Scott Mortuary and Cremations, 1920 East Crawford Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.
