Linda lived the majority of her life near Lincoln, Kansas and Beloit, Kansas. She had a love of nature, cooking, gardening, and was an avid collector of many things. She will be most remembered as a free spirit, a generous soul and one who was fiercely loyal to those she loved.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl Schmidt and her favorite companion, her dog Zoey.

She is survived by her son Jason (Christina) Green; granddaughter Hailey; step-sons Marlin Huehl, John (Jennifer) Huehl; step-daughters Cristin (Brad) Noll, Carissa Schmidt, Juliann (Guy) Graham, and Jessica Schmidt; numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings Clair (Jackie) Gilmour, Debi Hoyt and Trish (Todd) King; step-sister Rita (Don) Johnson; and many nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
