Letha G. (Long) Kraus died with her husband, Dennis, on April 14, 2019, in Grand Chute, Wis., near Appleton. She was born on Nov. 12, 1945, in Abilene to Verden and Doris Long. She graduated from Hope High School in 1963. Letha and Dennis were married on April 4, 1965. They spent the next 54 years together, almost entirely in the Appleton area. They enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with family. While raising their children, Letha completed her nursing degree and retired from nursing in 2010. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. Letha is survived by her sons, Charles (Shannon) Kraus of Neenah, Wis., and Dean (Julie) Kraus of Richfield, Minn., and six grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lois (Lyle) Lind of Tilden, Neb., as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Verden and Doris (Rumold) Long; brother, Dwight Long; and many aunts and uncles.

A committal service for Letha will be held graveside at Ashton Cemetery, 3 miles west of Hope on Hwy. 4, on Wednesday, May 1, at 11 am. Carlson-Becker Funeral Home of Hope is in charge of arrangements.
